This quaint b&b is outstanding. It’s stunning both inside and out. It’s located in a residential area, close to a few local restaurants that the owner, Roberta, will recommend to you. It’s walking distance to the main strip (15mins) so if you want to get involved in the hustle and bustle, you can. The room I stayed in was massive and spotless.

The hot water was temperamental, and the water pressure low at times. I found it better to shower in the evenings. The breakfast is served in the quaint little communal area, with homemade jams and cake, and delicious.

Roberta organized the Contoy trip for me and also gave me flyboard in cozumel suggestions, and I’m very grateful for that as it doesn’t run every day and I had limited time in Playa. It took her nearly the whole day to sort it out! I needed to pay cash for the tour as it was last minute, I didn’t have enough money on me, and as it was late, I was worried to take so much out of the ATM.

She drove me to the ATM, so I felt safe in doing so. The next morning I had to leave early for the trip, and she had packed me a breakfast of homemade cake! She also checked to make sure I was collected as I had to walk to a pickup point as I wasn’t being collected from my accommodation. She had shown me the pickup location when we were in the car the evening before. She also offers a discount with one of the beach clubs, which I took up.

Roberta also kept in touch with me during my stay in Mexico and said if I needed any help to ask. I loved this place! A recommendation from me! Thank you, Roberta, for making my stay in Playa a fantastic experience, and sorry for the late review!

Roberta is friendly and helpful. If you prefer a cozy B&B off the beaten path, you will not be disappointed here. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the property is small but a very well maintained, tropical oasis. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. This property and its staff are a perfect example of authentic Mexican hospitality!

Amazing place. Far enough away from the noise of 5th Avenue but close enough to walk around and feel very safe. Each night I walked home late and not once did I not think secure Taxi was also easy to get if needed and Roberta is only too happy to give any advice that you would need.
